New UK Legal pattern-welded folding knives
More social media censorship and a new selection of hand-forged slipjoints & friction folders on their way to the online shop. Sneak preview now - get in touch with me to reserve one in advance.
Well, I started this Substack page a couple of months ago after Meta started banning knifemakers on Instagram & Facebook. However, I didn’t actually put anything up on here because IG seemed to be allowing my posts and, somewhat optimistically, I just carried on posting reels and videos and hoping the censorship would ‘blow over’.
Nope. I’ve been cancelled. Again.
So, now I’m going to be taking Substack more seriously and changing up how Willslock Forge operates. I’m going old-school and focusing primarily on shows & events for my networking from now on. You guys (my current subscribers) can help me (and other knifemakers that you like) by sharing our work, telling people about what we do, and showing them our websites.
People have been making bladed tools for thousands of years, and throughout history, the manufacture and sale of knives has periodically been controlled, regulated and even banned. Just because several social media platforms are suddenly going on an insane crusade against bladed tools, it won’t shut down the industry - it just means we will have to adapt and change how we market our work.
I still haven’t taken photos of all my new pieces for all the online listings, but in the meantime, here are some teaser photos. These are all available, so please do get in touch for pricing and more info, or to reserve one before it hits the website.
I have at least another 15+ knives to photograph and list, so this is just a teaser. Get in touch if one catches your eye! Otherwise, stay tuned for updates as I find ways to adapt to all this fun new dystopian online censorship!
Also, remember: Big Brother is watching you. Freedom is slavery.
